RecoveryROCKS
Tempered 1986. RecoveryROCKS.net. Forty years clean and sober-minded — rooms, clubs, and the people who got a new life.
The mark is fire and a copper shield: TEMPERED 1986. RecoveryROCKS.net. Hebrew צרף — refine, smelt, temper. Same year that sits on the STREETCLEANERS shield: MEET AT THEIR PAIN. 1986. RESPECT.
On June 10, 1983, in an alley behind the Thirsty Whale Tavern in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Kevin Lee Reiss bled to death. He did not stay dead. RecoveryROCKS is what that second life sounds like on television.
The series is built for rooms, clubs, and the people who still show up. Unification of 12-step groups — including the 1907 Club story from 1987 — sits next to contemporary recovery television, not as a lecture, as a witness.
